Last January, I worked with Hugh Marsh, a musician who I have admired from a very great distance for most of my life, on a show that explored the idea of the hero’s journey, so fundamental to much of our literature, a truly universal archetype.  After the show was over, I asked Hugh if he would consider working again on another project.  I gave him a brief outline of what I had in mind, and he agreed to take part.

I recently had an experience that is still reverberating in my mind, months later.  

In August, I flew to Berlin, Germany to spend some time with the digital production team of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra's "Digital Concert Hall."  For the past three years, the orchestra has been broadcasting their concerts on-line.  The production values are world-class, and I wanted to see first-hand how they accomplished…

The Rotunda Gallery is a unique exhibition space located on the ground floor of Kitchener city hall.  The curved, wooden hanging wall includes 48 feet of vertical hanging space above a wall-length bench where visitors linger.  The gallery features monthly exhibits of original work by outstanding visual artists.
